Common questions
How do I connect Claude or ChatGPT to my EbbChart data?
Connecting is off until you switch it on. In the EbbChart app, open Profile → Connected AI assistants and turn on access; the app shows what will be shared before you confirm. Then add EbbChart in your assistant. For Claude, step-by-step instructions are on the connector page (server address https://mcp.ebbchart.com/). ChatGPT uses the same server, the same sign-in and the same switch in the app. The connection is read-only: it can read your hearing tests, symptom logs, medication courses and condition profile, and cannot change or delete anything.
How do I turn AI assistant access off?
Open Profile → Connected AI assistants in the app and turn access off. The assistant can no longer read your data from that moment. You can also remove the EbbChart connection inside Claude or ChatGPT. Anything an assistant has already shown you stays in that conversation, and your assistant's provider holds it under its own policy; use their controls to delete it.
How do I delete my account?
Open Profile → Delete account in the app and confirm. This permanently deletes your hearing tests, symptom logs, notes, medications and account record, and ends any assistant connection. It cannot be undone. If the app cannot complete the deletion, email support@ebbchart.com from the address on your account.
How do I export my data?
Open the Share tab. Export hearing data creates a structured report you can save or send to your specialist, and Generate ENT report creates a PDF with your audiogram chart and a data summary for an appointment.
Which headphones can I use for the in-app hearing test?
EbbChart has calibration profiles for AirPods Pro (2nd and 3rd generation) and Sony WH-1000XM3, XM4, XM5 and XM6. Other headphones have not been validated: the app warns you, and results may be inaccurate. Phone speakers cannot be used, and the app asks you to connect headphones first. The in-app test is a personal tracking tool, not a clinical audiogram, and EbbChart is not a medical device.
